Intersections in the Age of Autonomous Cars

I think it looks like traffic in places like Vietnam, India, or Africa, from what I have seen on the Internet.

This article from The Atlantic examines the social hurdles to accepting autonomous cars, among other issues. I like the description of the "intersection manager."

“There would be an intersection manager,” Stone says, “an autonomous agent directing traffic at a much finer-grain scale than just a red light for one direction and a green light for another direction.”
